that attitude of “this female character is made for my consumption so being tuned down by her is like being turned down by a cupcake I’m about to eat” is exactly what I’m talking about when I say that female representation in media needs to get its shit together. Female characters are so overwhelmingly tailored to the desires of a mainstream straight male audience that dudes are now getting genuinely offended when a female character isn’t “for them”

Isn’t media in general made for consumption? Being against media made to be consumed by an audience different from straight white dudes is like someone being against chocolate ice cream existing because they like vanilla.

I think the analogy would be more akin to someone being upset that the ice cream they picked up isn’t chocolate, but vanilla. Yes, media is made for consumption, but the assumption that all media should cater to your own desires and no one else’s is a little arrogant, don’t you think? :)

Things are not going well in the war against Plegia. We’ve done nothing but defend and retreat, and still have lost much. Most prominently, Lady Emmeryn!

A little over a week ago the castle at Ylisstol was swarmed by assassins. They came with no warning, and if it had not been for Marth’s timely warning then we might have all died that night. She, yes Marth is in fact a woman, still remains as secretive and distant as before. She claimed that her actions were to prevent a future where all humanity died. I’m not sure what to believe at this point.

Destiny: Calamity-14 4: Gazing Outward

I have been recognized for my growing strength among the Guardians. I am still a far cry from Pynra and Alsora. However I have been offered the chance to partake in the bounties offered by Xander 99-40. Xander 99-40 is a Frames. Frames are mechanical beings but seem to lack the mind of an Exo.

After accepting two bounties we returned to the area around the Cosmodrome. The Ghost pointed me towards beacons that carried requests from others at the Tower. They are simple requests but they give me a direction to focus my movement and fire. I scanned old equipment. I gathered items from Fallen. Then a call came about a group of Guardians that had gone dark.
